The low power and high price tag - that always comes with roofed bike like the Benelli Adiva or the BMW C1- and some suspicious about italian's engineering and electrical systems, dictated low selling numbers.

Benelli sold this design patent to a Chinese company that uses it to produce a similar scooter. These 150cc scooters are a "true" chinese product, using bad plastics and misinterpreting its original design, giving form to a low quality overall bike.

USA market in its usual look for the wow factor present in something as european and exclusive as these roofed motorcycles, soon started to develop a keen interest in this model and started importing it.

Unhappy with its overall quality, and wiling to position this scooter as a luxurious, high quality and exclusive scooter, the american dealer went to China and introduced a lot of improvements in overall quality and design. Spent a lot of time in the production lines and made a lot of improvements.

Amongst the improvements we can find engine quality, engine displacement, engine cooling system, electrical system (totally remanufactured), design, sound system (4 speakers instead of 2), Active Security (disk brakes, ABS...), materials (plastics were improved), clutch, belt, speedometer...and so on...

That's how B-Lon was born...
