Customer experiences

  • "Every once in a while a new product comes along that changes the way people think. Introducing one of the first retractable top scooters to be directly sold in the US. The B-Lon is an amazing vehicle that will catch everyone's attention as you ride down the road. People are not sure whether the B-Lon is a two-wheeled car or a motorcycle with a roof. Be one of the first to own one of the most radical scooters on the market. The B-Lon combines the advantages of a two-wheeled motorized transportation with the strengths and protection of the automobile by offering weather protection and comfort without foregoing the pleasure of riding a motorized two wheeler. This scooter is loaded with features. The retractable top has to be the best feature of this scooter. Designed to protect you from the wind and rain it can be quickly retracted in one easy step. It even comes with a Radio/CD/MP3 Player (standard) and a place to add an optional LCD screen player. The new 250cc power upgrade allows the B-Lon driver to cruise safely on Highways and is an exciting way to get around town. This is also the perfect two seater scooter just look at the seat and back support for the second rider (comes standard with flat seat). This dynamic machine comes with a one year manufactures warranty."
  • "I purchased these scooter a few weeks ago.

I parked my van, and I am using it for daily commuting, running errands etc.

I now have around 1400 miles on the bike, and I am very impressed with the quality and reliability. I have not had any problems or issues. The bike runs great, is very smooth and comfortable. I did notice one discrepancy. They advertise around 70 mpg, however, I get almost 300 miles on 2 gallons, which is around 150 mpg, I am smooth on the throttle and do not ride very aggressive.

I noticed that the Benelli Adiva ( the Italian version ) of the BLon has plexiglas's wind protectors attached to the windshield and I am trying to find out how I can order them.

I send an email to a Benelli dealer in the UK, but I did not get a reply.

I am also planning to have the black roof painted to match the body color ( red ), just like the Benelli.

There are other manufacturers experimenting with roofed scooters, I will add more information regarding this in the future.

I am more than pleased with the bike."

  • "THE C1 KNOCK OUT: The B-Lon is a completely different product, meant to capture a different market. I wish to thank you for showing it to me on the forum because I went and purchased two of them at the dock in Houston, Texas for less than $3K each, still in the box, and was very impressed with what I received for my money. To begin with, they come standard with features that you have to pay extra for on the C1, Hazard lights,Cigarette lighter, side stand, both kick and electric starter, carpeted floor mat, LED indicicators built into the mirrors, four channel speaker system with video outputs on the VCD/MP3 player, built in locking PDB, telescopic antenna, two complete sets of remote starter systems, yes, it has a remote starter system. It also has a "flameout" future that can shut down all electronics from a distance of 50 feet. If you are fast enough on the button during a scooter-jacking, you can disable all electrics during the drive away. The alarm system is very loud and very sensitive when it is activated. Just by placing an object in the storage tray, you can set it off. The engine is SYM and the shocks are Kymco. The engine is a quiet but peppy 150cc., four stroke, that pulls two people well. It is not liquid cooled, and you don't have to check the valve adjustments, and there is no mention of how long the belt should last. Considering that I got two of these for less than one C1, I can see where Mainland is going with the market. They will load their American exports with lots of gadgets and goodies in order to capture market share. Others will have to compete or loose. The sound quality on the four speakers is very sharp and clear. My 14 year old daughter just loves it. Thanks again for introducing me to this unique product."

  • "the roof is made of heavy gauge, rubberized plastic. It is hinged in two places in order to swing into position from the storage box. It attaches to the front windshield via two locking mechanisms similar to those used on convertible automobiles, and that is where it gets it's strength, because the windshield has a heavy steel frame around it. Once in place, the roof is very rigid and does not rattle or vibrate. It is not a tubular reinforced structure like on the C1, but it does its job by keeping the elements from the weather, off the rider. The windshield wiper/washer is the real useful feature, like on the C1 and the washer fluid is located in the very back of the scooter so the fluid has to travel the entire length of the vehicle before it gets to the windscreen. The fluid pump is built into the reservoir and is powerful enough to do the job. The Windscreen is made of heavy gauge acrylic and requires some assembly in order to get it properly inserted into the steel frame. It took two people, and allot of soaping in order to mount it correctly, but once it was in, it was quite rigid and sturdy. The distributor informed me that the windshield used to be shipped already assembled, but they were having to many accidents this way, so they now come dissembled and that seems to work better. I will attach some close up pictures of the roof mechanism if that helps. Personally, in my part of the country, my daughter and I enjoy the option of not having the roof and riding around with it down. You still have the tall profile windscreen and high back support in the rear and that gives the scooter a unique appearance, compared to other vehicles on the road. There are no seat belts, so you are at the risk of major injury in an accident. I always wear a helmet and feel naked without one. You should be able to click on this site in order to view the scooter."
